That MessageIndex.template.php file is cut in half. Perhaps your FTP client only uploaded half of it?

Do you have a backup copy of the original working one? It's useful to compare the differences when you make edits.

But that's why I'm confused. I didn't change any code. All I did was make a new logo, named it logo.png, and overwrote the old logo. Then re-uploaded everything.

**EDIT**

Ok this is weird. The first time I downloaded MessageIndex.template.php from this topic and used it, it worked fine. But I download it a second time and only half of it is downloaded. wtf?  ??? :-\

sorry real life gets in way ... you say one minute it works next id doesnt when you upload ... delete the current copy and try uploading it again

calm remember most of us are staff members on smf and we have been busy with there, the file is located in the default theme folder
